The business took off quickly. Before long I was an OBM, being asked to help other business owners build the systems, teams and processes that would allow them the freedom to run their business around having children.
I became an expert in the membership & CRM software behind the scenes, and even started my own membership organisation for other VAs looking to build and grow a successful business. Everything looked great on paper. Behind the scenes, I was completely burnt out.
Ironically, whilst working hard to help other entrepreneurs build businesses that could survive without them, I was simultaneously working myself into the ground, doing it all alone. This couldn’t go on, and I took four months away from the business.
When I returned I knew things had to be different: I upskilled, invested thousands of pounds in my own training in Facebook Ads, Funnel Strategy and Marketing and built a team of outsourced experts who could support me in the running of my own business, with some similar and complementary skills, who could step in when I needed to step out.
I also transitioned from working as an OBM to specialising in funnels, automation and Facebook ads. This changed the game. Suddenly I was positioning myself as an expert who could map out and implement the whole funnel strategy from traffic to sale, and when the pandemic hit in 2020, my business exploded.
I quadrupled my turnover in 12 months (and during the pandemic), and it’s all because I mastered the strategy around funnels and launches AND learnt how to build an agency to support me in my quest.
